Outreach work & harm reduction services

People who offer harm reduction services have to work hard to reach people. And frontline workers have to make sure they can offer people quality information, services and medical, legal and social support. A project that offers clean needles and syringes to people requires more logistics and planning than one might think.

Other health services such as opioid substitution treatment, overdose and abscess management and tests and (referral to) treatment for HIV, Hepatitis and sexually transmitted diseases require knowledgeable and all-round staff. Mainline coaches, trains and advices outreach workers, peer workers, paralegals, nurses and other health care workers, project managers, staff in drop-in centres and everyone else who has a place in the harm reduction field.
