The global ‘Support don’t Punish’ campaign is traditionally launched on the 26th of June. Civil society organisations from across the world join hands to demonstrate, make noise and fight for the rights of people who use drugs.
Punitive approaches to drug use are still dominant in today’s world, while we long know that they don’t work. Instead, they ignite violence, stigma and discrimination and a range of human rights violations in countless countries.
On the 26th of June Mainline mobilised with over 10 organisations to promote #SupportDontPunish. We set sail towards an evidence-based approach to drug policy. Let’s build it together!
Mainline stands in solidarity with all people who use drugs, organisations that fight every day to run basic harm reduction services and activists who work tirelessly for system change.
